After traveling to New Zealand in 2005, working on a bucolic sheep and farm, I became fascinated by wool. Having an instant bond with the sheep I became woven into the process that wool takes from animal to a pristine, billowy and soft piece of fabric.
Upon my return, I took to my parents basement, learning from both my mother and books about the craft of becoming a seamstress. As a result of this study, my business ‘Sketchbook’ was created. The intention of Sketchbook was to create beautiful, unique and quality craft based objects that are functional Art pieces. With utility in mind, these soft goods are entirely handmade of high quality wool, cotton and leather.
