Amber Jensen was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1982 and currently lives in Eugene, OR. She received a BFA in drawing from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2004. Since then, she has traveled to New Zealand to work on a bucolic sheep farm, inspiring the creation of her own line of bespoke wool and leather knapsacks.
Working back and forth between drawing/printmaking and sewing constantly informs each type of work. When she is not busy sewing, Amber is either riding her bicycle or creating richly textured plant and animal drawings and intaglio prints, which are then collated into small editions of handmade books.
